Last weekend was very windy, nevertheless, I was able to shoot these Senior Portraits at Riverbend Park. The sky painted large clouds, heavy with water, but the gale that blew on Sunday morning prevented them from unloading over Jupiter. Very early, at dawn, we began these Senior Portraits at Riverbend Park, but not in the park, rather on the beach, next to Juno Beach Pier.
Mackenzie, a tall, very beautiful girl, was waiting for me along with her mother. The wind brought cold, so we waited a bit next to the bushes hoping for the sunlight to shine brighter. Typically, Senior Portraits at Juno Beach Pier start with a walk on the beach. During this time, I try to get close to the boys and girls to loosen up in front of the camera. It’s the moment I take to ask them where they’re finishing their studies, which college or university they’ll attend, and the most important question of all, what they want to do in their life. That’s when she started telling me about what she would like to do in her future. She would love to work in healthcare. When I asked her why, she replied that she would like to do it because she loves helping and taking care of others. Is there anything more beautiful?
After Juno Beach Pier, we went, now, to the park. The first part of the session, on the beach, served us to break the ice; now, these Senior Portraits at Riverbend Park would be a piece of cake. And it was, Mackenzie was already used to the camera, she moved with ease and didn’t stop smiling. It was a pleasure to work with her. There, at Battlefield Park, she changed clothes twice, the first with a beautiful long dress and the second one much cooler. That’s when she brought out the icons of Florida State University, where she will shape her career, where I hope she learns a lot and reaches wherever she wants to go.
Remember, Mackenzie, that a smile heals almost everything, and you already have that. I wish you all the luck in the world.
