Last week I took these senior portraits at Dubois Park in Jupiter. I love shooting these senior portrait sessions because I have the opportunity to meet boys and girls in that phase where they are about to define their lives. It is very interesting to meet them and learn about their ambitions and dreams. They are in that phase of their lives where it is difficult to connect with them, but the moment they feel comfortable with their senior photographer, they open up and you become fascinated with their world.
On this occasion I had the privilege of meeting and photographing Sam, a shy boy at first, but ten minutes into his senior portraits session he was already telling me about his life and his future. He told me that he loved architecture, and we delved deeper into it. I told him that my wife is a Jupiter interior designer and that architecture and interior design are very linked. That’s where we connected.
We started this senior photos session at Juno Beach Pier, at dawn, where the best lights and colors appear. And to finish these senior portraits at Dubois Park we used their Pioneer house. I wish you the best Sam, may you have a wonderful future, full of straight lines and always remember that a house, no matter how beautiful it is on the outside, always has to become a home on the inside.
