A few months ago, a very pleasant guy contacted me by phone, requesting information to carry out a surprise proposal at Jupiter beach for his girlfriend. As the word “surprise” itself indicates, it usually involves a certain degree of uncontrollable chaos. That’s why every effort must be made to ensure that the moment, the true surprise proposal, goes well on the first try, because it’s a one-shot opportunity.

So, as a Jupiter proposal photographer, I set up a meeting with him to decide which access point to the beach to use and, most importantly, the angle he should be in if he wanted the pictures of his surprise proposal at Jupiter Beach to turn out as we had all envisioned. That was when I met Brad, a kind and pleasant guy, who was nervous. Everything seemed very technical, “let’s do it this way,” “at this time,” “you hide and I’ll appear with her”… but from the moment I saw him, I knew that this surprise beach proposal in Jupiter was going to be special, just like the couple to whom I have felt a fondness for since that very moment.

At dawn that morning, as the sun was rising, time seemed to stand still to witness that wonderful engagement proposal in Jupiter. The ocean was calm, gentle waves caressed the sand, and there they were, waiting for me: Brad with his smile and Jacquelyn, another beautiful young woman who, I’m sure, already knew what was about to happen. We approached the shore, and the awaited moment arrived. With his knee on the ground, in the classic ritual, just as it should be. And she, with her hands on her face, accepted through tears of joy.

Jacquelyn and Brad met in the summer of 2018 in Washington DC. They both remember the night they met. During a work happy hour, they bonded over their enjoyment of rooftop bars and cold beers while watching planes land at DCA along the Potomac River. It was nice to have them tell me more about their other half; he shared, “It’s been six years of nonstop fun with my better half.” While she added, “Brad was the most fun person I had ever met and still is!”

The chemistry they had during the entire photo session following the surprise proposal at Jupiter Beach was exquisite. These things are noticeable, at least I feel them, and I am delighted to have been able to create such a wonderful photoshoot and to be able to share it here today. This couple is special, I know it. I still have the Save the Date card they made for their wedding with one of my pictures next to my desktop in my office… November is already here…
