As a Jupiter maternity photographer, I believe maternity photos are the best way to remember those nine months of pregnancy.

I’m Dani Carretero, and I have been photographing expecting parents on Jupiter’s beaches and parks since 2017.

Above all, these photos are about you, your belly, your partner and the nest you are preparing for your baby. My style is documentary and natural: I’ll guide you gently, but what I’m really looking for are real moments rather than stiff poses.

01 · Timing

When to schedule your maternity session

The ideal time is around the seventh month of pregnancy. By then, the belly is beautifully round, and you are still comfortable and mobile. Every pregnancy is different, though, so we can schedule your session whenever it feels right for you. Still, I recommend booking a few weeks ahead so we can find a date and a time with the best light.

Jupiter’s beaches face the Atlantic, so sunrise gives the softest, most flattering light. Meanwhile, Riverbend Park offers shade and trails along the Loxahatchee River, and Dubois Park has views of the Jupiter Inlet. Indoor sessions can also be arranged. Of course, you’re always welcome to suggest a place that’s meaningful to you.

From pregnancy to newborn

Many families choose to continue the story with a newborn session around the third week after birth. In fact, telling both chapters with the same photographer gives your family a consistent, beautiful record of this time in your lives. Ask me about follow-up sessions when you book.
